Transcript Copier for YouTube copies or downloads transcripts from the YouTube video page that the user is currently viewing.
The extension reads the following data from the active YouTube video page only when the user clicks the extension button or chooses the transcript download context menu item:
The data is used only to:
.txt fileThe extension does not collect, store, sell, or transmit transcript text, video titles, video URLs, browsing history, or any other user data to the developer, developer-operated servers, advertisers, analytics providers, or data brokers.
Transcript extraction runs in the user's browser. To retrieve captions or transcripts, the extension may make requests from the current YouTube page to YouTube endpoints, such as YouTube transcript or timed text endpoints. These requests are used only to provide the copy or download feature the user invoked.
This extension is not affiliated with YouTube or Google.
The extension uses Chrome permissions only for its single purpose:
